I'm new here. What do I need to know?

Services offered by Words, Style by Jo are à la carte. Simply choose the services that suit your business needs. My price list is available upon request. I also offer bundled service packages and services on retainer.

I want to book your services. What do I do next?

STEP 1: Fill out the copywriting brief, which you can download here, and email it to  jonell@wordsstyledbyjo.com

STEP 2: Once I receive your brief, I'll reach out to you within 48 hours. At that time, we’ll schedule a Zoom call. We’ll put faces to the names, chat about the brief, identify points of pain + pride, clarify the specifics of the project, and get to know each other during our consultation. We will meet during the consultation time you indicated in the brief.

STEP 3: I'll email you an agreement that will outline the work you wish to be completed, time frames, fee schedules, communication expectations, etc. At this time, you’ll also receive an invoice, which will detail all the work requested. A deposit in the amount of 50% of the value of work requested is due at the time the signed agreement is submitted.  Once this is paid, your place is secured and we can begin working together. (Get excited!)


STEP 4: Oh, do I get busy! I conduct my research, brainstorm, and plan, then I put my fingers to the keyboard and begin writing the magic words. I’ll send you a copy of the first draft via a Google Drive link. I will be in contact with you regularly throughout the length of the project. (If we become fast + furious friends, we’ll be in contact long after the project is finished!) With all of my services, you have unlimited rounds of revisions where I’ll be happy to make any adjustments you see fit.


STEP 5: The final draft will be emailed as an attached Google document. You'll have 10 business days from the date I submit the agreed-upon final draft to pay the remaining 50% balance owed.


STEP 6: C’est fin! You sit back and watch your engagement numbers fly high to the sky! Cue the confetti!

How long will it take?

Most projects have a 14-business day turnaround time. Larger projects may command a longer turnaround time. Additionally, extra revisions may affect turnaround times.

What is the process for invoicing?

You will receive two invoices over the course of our contracted project: one in the beginning for the deposit and the other for the balance of work completed at the time you receive the agreed-upon final draft. To begin, I must receive a signed contract and deposit in the amount of 50% of the value of the work requested. For example, let’s say the total amount of all the services requested comes to $1000. The deposit would be $500.

The remaining 50% of the value of work rendered as well as any additional services added is due within 10 business days after the final draft is submitted. All payments must be in USD.

For retainer clients, no deposit is required in lieu of the retainer payment.
